Meet Yvonne Mann: She Doesn’t Just Train Dogs—She Transforms Lives

Yvonne has trained heroes, built unbreakable bonds, and turned everyday dogs into life-changers—one game, one lesson, one breakthrough at a time.

A Heart for Training, A Gift for Connection

As a Nationally Accredited Dog Trainer and Behaviourist, Yvonne Mann brings more than just skills to Lilydale Vet Centre—she brings invaluable experience.

Whether she’s working with playful pups, uncertain adolescents, behavioural cases, or both Psycho Social and Mobility task dogs, Yvonne stays true to her mission: to build lasting bonds between people and their pets.

Through structured games and trust-building, Yvonne’s philosophy is about empowering pets to thrive and helping their humans do the same.

Winning Moments: The Power of Possibility

One of Yvonne’s most unforgettable cases involved a wheelchair-bound client. Their companion was ultimately taught how to fetch a phone, pick up dropped items, get help, open drawers, bring clothes, and offer emotional support through deep pressure therapy.

Moments like these aren’t just rewarding—they’re a reminder of what’s truly possible when trust and training come together.

Her dedication is backed by hands-on experience in top-level Obedience, Rally O, Tracking, Endurance, Nosework, and Search & Rescue trials. While German Shepherds are clearly her favourite, a few other breeds are starting to win her over… slowly. 😁

Always Learning, Always Giving Back

At home, Yvonne shares her life with a vibrant mix of geese, chickens, racing pigeons, and her loyal German Shepherd, Jyn.  Her colleagues know her as methodical, empathetic, direct, and always ready to solve a challenge.

She’s deeply committed to lifelong learning, regularly attending webinars and workshops to sharpen her skills and stay ahead in the ever-evolving world of animal care.

To Yvonne, training is more than a vocation—it’s her calling. We’re so very excited to have Yvonne as a member of the team.
